Kraft Paper Tape
Product Types and Applications
- Water-Activated Kraft Paper Tape (Starch-based Adhesive)
Non-tacky when dry, this tape activates upon contact with water. It is eco-friendly, biodegradable, and writable. Available in standard and fiberglass-reinforced versions.
Applications: Export cartons, eco-friendly packaging, masking or obscuring text. Reinforced versions are suitable for heavy-duty cartons.
- Self-Adhesive Kraft Paper Tape (Pressure-Sensitive Adhesive)
Ready to use immediately upon tearing. Available with various adhesive types: water-based acrylic, hot-melt, rubber-based, and oil-based. Often features a waterproof laminated coating or fiberglass reinforcement.
Water-based adhesives are eco-friendly and suited for general daily carton sealing. Hot-melt adhesives perform well in low-temperature environments. Rubber-based adhesives offer dependable temperature resistance and firm adhesion.
Applications: E-commerce packaging, high-speed production line carton sealing, outdoor packaging.
- Hot-Melt Activated Kraft Paper Tape (Heat-Activated)
Non-tacky at room temperature, this tape requires heating equipment for activation. It provides high bonding strength and impact resistance.
Applications: Heavy-duty industrial packaging, container sealing.
Specialized Variants (Function/Appearance)
- White Kraft Paper Tape
Features a natural-color or pure white substrate with a clean, uniform appearance. Well-suited for packaging in the food, pharmaceutical, and cosmetics industries.
- High-Temperature Resistant Kraft Paper Tape (120–180°C)
Uses a specialized adhesive combined with heat-resistant paper. Suitable for PCB soldering, powder coating, and paint masking.
- Printed Kraft Paper Tape
It can be customized with printed logos, warning messages, or barcodes. Suitable for brand packaging and tamper-evident logistics.
- Waterproof Kraft Paper Tape (PE-Coated)
Moisture-proof and water-resistant. Suitable for maritime shipping and outdoor storage packaging.
